Kristin Daniels
Kristin brings a unique set of skills and an innovative mindset to every conversation.
For the first twenty years of her career, Kristin worked as a classroom teacher, technology integration specialist, education consultant and innovation coordinator. During that time, she learned that trying new things in education came with enormous challenges and that it was much easier to stick with the status quo. As she worked alongside her colleagues, she learned that breaking away from the status quo required courage; it was a personal process that could be accelerated through exposure, conversations, coaching, play, and most importantly: permission.
Over the last four years, Kristin has worked with schools and districts across the country to launch innovation programs using a crowd-based innovation model. This includes facilitating over 100+ crowd-based innovation events resulting in over 3500+ ideas from frontline staff, students, and community members.
Today, as Founder and CEO of CatapultEd, Kristin works with innovative leaders to implement a full innovation cycle in their school or district, including idea prototyping, testing, and scaling as well as innovation story-telling and communication.
Kristin is an experienced facilitator and has led hundreds of professional development sessions and workshops at local, state, national and international conferences on education technology, flipped learning, human-centered design, and innovation.
We must remember that innovation is "1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration." CatapultEd provides the energy, support and resources needed to guide leaders through this sometimes messy process, to incorporate human-centered design and lean startup methodologies, as well as project management tools and strategies to help track and measure the impact of each idea.
"I am committed to this innovation process because it is grounded in empathy, drives equity and is a sustainable innovation and strategic planning strategy.”
